Verity was born in Portsmouth, Hampshire,UK on the8th December 1976.
She is currently an Art Teacher at a Secondary School in Hampshire, UK.
Verity is Textile artist with a passion for colour and texture through silk-screen printing and mixed media pieces. Inspired by her interest in travel and other cultures, the work varies from soft metallic oriental influenced silk prints to vivid colours and animals from around the world, abstract stripes to portraits.
The interest in travel came from childhood, following her family to Australia, Gibraltar and the jungle of Borneo. Working holidays as a student in Africa and Spain added to those experiences.
More recently the love of strong vivid colour, and texture is illustrated in mixed media canvases.
Aktivitäten / Ausstellungen:
Art Foundation completed at Portsmouth University in 1996.
Textile design degree, specialising in Printed textiles completed in 1999 at Nottingham Trent University.
Completed her PGCE in Art and Design for secondary Education at The University of Brighton in 2002 and have been teaching ever since.
Have had one solo exhibition at Atelia71, a gallery in Fareham Hampshire in 2005, selling 75% of the pieces at the private view. Have contibuted to Marwell Zoo\'s exhibition in 2005
Following the birth of her daughter in March 2007, Verity has set up her own art classes for toddlers and their carers called \'little artists\'.
